Dr. Tracy Martinez
Dr. Tracy Martinez was born and raised in North Kildonan in Winnipeg, and still lives in the area with her husband and her three children. She graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba in 2010. For the first eight years of her career, she worked as a dentist in the Transcona area. In September of 2018, she came to River East Dental Centre, purchasing Dr. Nickel’s longstanding practice, and is thrilled to be working with the awesome team here.
Dr. Tracy loves dentistry because it is both challenging and rewarding, and being able to help her patients smile bigger and brighter is a privilege. She strives to better herself through continuing education, and belongs to a local chapter of a Spear Study Club. Dentistry is forever changing and evolving, so Dr. Tracy knows how important it is to stay on top of all of the new developments and technologies in the field.
With her husband being from El Salvador, Dr. Tracy has learned to speak Spanish. Although she is not perfectly fluent, she can speak it well enough to have a conversation, and she understands Spanish very well.
Outside of work, Dr. Tracy is kept more than busy with her young family. She and her husband have three children: two boys and a little girl. In the summers, they love to spend as much time as possible at her family’s cabin on Lee River. She loves sports, volleyball and soccer were always her favourites - although now she spends less time playing and more time watching her kids as they get involved with different sports and activities! Since she was young, she has always been an avid reader, and really loves getting lost in a great book. She is also an admitted TV junkie, loves to binge-watch Netflix shows, and is always looking for a good recommendation!
